Mozambique youth gain industry skills through ILO-supported internships
Approximately 40 buses are being purchased by the Maputo Municipal Council to be transferred to the private sector as credit.
It is expected that this fleet will assist in minimising the lack of transport in the capital. With the arrival of new vehicles means that more routes will be opened along Avenida Julius Nyerere, the Ring Road, Museu and downtown.
This information was recently provided by João Mathombe, transport councillor in the Municipal Council of Maputo.
According to Mathombe, the addition of 40 more buses will cater to approximately 35,000 passengers a day.
