Maputo: Frelimo calls for churches’ involvement in voter education

Frelimo’s first secretary for Maputo, Rasaque Manhique, has called on Mozambique’s churches to become involved in the civic education of the electorate.
The purpose would be to reduce abstention levels in the general elections of 15 October.
Manhique made his plea at a meeting with religious leaders from the Lhamankulo municipal district in Maputo city on Tuesday.
Manhique also met party social organisations based in Lhamankulo, including especially Frelimo’s Youth Wing, the OJM.
