Maputo Council promotes first used clothes fair – photos

Within the scope of the 2019-2023 Municipal Development Plan, the Municipal Council of Maputo is promoting the first Second-Hand Clothes Fair in the city’s central business district [baixa] – specifically, on Zedequias Manganhele Avenue.
The municipal council intends the event to provide a fixed, orderly, safe and legal space for informal sellers to market their products, in turn making shopping pleasant for customers.
The used clothing fair saw the presence of several informal sellers, with several products on offer.
The municipal council has announced its intention to hold more such events, as a way of boosting local economic activity.
