The city of Maputo will on Monday (March 8) see the start of the Covid-19 vaccination process, covering 10,229 health professionals, Radio Moçambique reports.
The information was released this Thursday on Rádio Moçambique’s ‘Café da Manhã’ program by Councillor for Health and Social Action in the Municipality of Maputo, Alice Abreu, who also advanced the criteria for vaccination.
“Being 18 years of age or older, having no Covid-19 symptoms or active disease. For this purpose, we will be able to do the screening in the vaccination sites, before vaccination, to establish whether the person this symptoms or not. Not being infected with Covid-19 in the last 3 months, not being a pregnant or parturient woman or breastfeeding and being a health worker assigned to the National Health Service [are the criteria],” she said.
This first phase of vaccinations, which starts on Monday, should end on Friday of the same week.
