Relatives of the young man murdered in Matola when he went to the aid of a rape victim want an explanation for why one of his alleged murderers has been released even before the others have been apprehended.
The young man’s assailant was being held in the Matola 1st Police Station cells, but was released even before the capture of the other three.

This upset the family of the deceased, who say they have been referred to the judge who supposedly took on the case after an alleged confirmation of the man’s arrest, but no clarification has been forthcoming.
Some information circulating suggests that the release was the result of monetary payment.
Miramar went to the home of the released suspect, but the family says they do not know where he is.
