Man arrested for possession of 44 packages of cannabis

A man is being held at the 11th Republic of Mozambique Police Station in Sofala, after being caught in possession of 44 packages of cannabis, commonly known in Mozambique as ‘suruma’.
The 27-year-old, Agnaldo David, said the drugs were for his own private consumption, but the PRM in Sofala has opened a criminal investigation into the case.
