The President of the Confederation of Business Associations of Mozambique (CTA), Álvaro Massingue, yesterday participated in the Mozambique CEO Business Summit 2025, where he shared the strategic vision of the national private sector.
In his keynote speech, Álvaro Massingue made a strategic appeal: “The time has come to overcome hesitations, to silence the noise and to focus on what is essential: making Mozambique a hub of innovation, investment and shared prosperity,” he said.
The CTA president stressed that, “this moment demands from us vision, courage and, above all, commitment to the real transformation of Mozambique”.
Referring to the country’s natural resources, Massingue warned that potential does not transform countries, but rather leadership.
“The leadership that Mozambique needs at this moment is visionary, committed and bold. A leadership that understands that sustainable development is not built with shortcuts, but with courageous choices and strategic coalitions,” he stated.

In his speech, the president of the CTA highlighted the five pillars that should guide this new cycle, namely:
For these pillars to have the desired impact, he cautioned, it will be necessary for the public and private sectors to move forward together in a pact of mutual trust. He therefore reiterated his call for the government to accelerate structural reforms.
“It is urgent to remove administrative obstacles, ensure tax stability, guarantee legal predictability and consolidate the state as a facilitating agent – and not a blocker – of business initiative,” Massingue said.
