The Macau Trade and Investment Promotion Institute (IPIM) is taking part in the participates in the 2016 Fair for Promotion and Exhibition of Industry and Trade & Carnival between Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macau with a pavilion aiming to promote the region’s role as a platform between China and the Portuguese-speaking countries, IPIM said.
The Macau Pavilion, with 36 square metres, is focused on publicising information about the Exhibition Centre for Food from Portuguese Speaking Countries, and is exhibiting 17 products from Portuguese-speaking countries, including wine, canned food and oil, among others.
IPIM also said that in order to optimise the operation of the Macau Distribution Centre for Food from Portuguese Speaking Countries and allow customers to get to know in person the opportunities available for cooperation, an electronic service was set up to purchase some of the products exhibited at the Macau Pavilion.
This event, which closes on 8 January 2017 after opening its doors on 23 December, is organised by the Guangdong Association for the Promotion of Cooperation between Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macau, in cooperation with the Hong Kong Federation of Industries.
The acting president of IPIM, Irene V.K. Lau, stressed at the opening ceremony that cooperation between Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macau in the convention and exhibition sector has intensified and the three territories have worked to cultivate quality convention and exhibition brands, making use of their advantages and working together to hold conventions and exhibitions abroad, strengthening the partnership in several respects.
