Lions on the loose in Moamba

Lions on the loose are generating panic in the administrative post in Sábiè, Moamba district, Maputo province. The big cats have reportedly been devouring domestic animals.

According to local residents, lions prowl among the houses in the dead of night in search of food. Abdul Laky, a community leader at Sábiè administrative post, told Radio Mozambique that two lions were seen recently in the area, and had devoured two head of cattle.
