Mozambique: Portuguese businesses look to expand as post-election recovery gains ground
The Minister of Labour, Employment and Social Security, Victoria Dias Diogo, is starting a two-day working visit to Maputo province today (Thursday). Minister Diogo will catch up with the measure of completion of her sector’s Economic and Social Plan activities in the province
Before going into the field, Diogo will open the Employment Policy Hearing Seminar, marking the start of public hearings on jobs and employment at a national level.
After this, the minister will visit the new Coca-Cola facilities in Matola-Gare, where she will attend the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding between the multinational and INEFP to plavce young people in pre-professional internships.
The next stop on the minister’s visit will be the border town of Ressano Garcia in Moamba district, where she will visit the Teba recruitment agency for Mozambican labour in South Africa, as well as inspecting the ministry’s services in this region.
Tomorrow, Minister Diogo will meet officials of her sector from Maputo province in Machava, after visiting the Provincial Directorate of Labour, Employment and Social Security, the Provincial Delegations of the INSS, IGT and INEFP and the Mediation and Labour Arbitration Centre.
