Mozambique: Selling masks at main hospital supports families

The police of the Republic of Mozambique (PRM) shot dead two men yesterday morning in the municipality of Matola. The two were suspects of kidnapping cases which took place in the cities of Maputo and Matola.
The men are F. Jose Huo and C. Jose Nhalungo, also known by Tiano and believed to be the ringleader, according to Notícias.
The third member, whose identity iss not yet known, managed to escape during the shootout, said PRM spokesman for Maputo province Fernando Manhiça.
The source said that the act occurred during an exchange of shots between the police and the three individuals, following the persecution that had started in Maputo city, where the suspects lived.
According to the authorities, the group is responsible for the kidnappings which took place at the end of last year.
At this point, the corporation continues to make efforts to capture other elements of the gang.
The suspects were in a Toyota Corolla car with a South African number plate that has been apprehended by the corporation.
According to Noticias, the bodies were removed to the morgue of the Provincial Hospital of Matola.
