JUST IN: Shots fired at car transporting MDM head of list in Maputo Province – Sala da Paz

Unknown individuals shot at the car transporting Augusto Pelembe, the MDM head of list for Maputo Province, Sala da Paz reports on its Facebook page.

The gunshots (two shots) did not cause casualties but the bullets pierced through the front windshield of the car in which the [MDM] head of list [for Maputo province], Augusto Pelembe, was being transported.

The act was carried out by unknown individuals a few moments ago [the information was posted at around 3 p.m.] in the District of Manhiça, Maloana area, five minutes away from the village of Manhiça.

On the occasion, the MDM head of list was not accompanied by the police.

“I was in one car and the [MDM] delegate was in another. They blocked my car and suddenly we heard gunshots. At this moment the delegate has gone to the village to bring the police. We are all scared,” said Augusto Pelembe.

Esta campanha eleitoral é violenta que até assusta. Pobres se matando para garantir privilégios dos que só bebem água mineral.
