The National Criminal Investigation Service (SERNIC) this Tuesday arrested Nini Satar’s ex-mother-in-law, for alleged involvement in kidnapping activity. SERNIC says that she is the leader of a kidnapping gang.
SERNIC called the press today, to say that it has already arrested one of the masterminds of the kidnappings that have plagued the country for more than 10 years. It is, in fact, Nini Satar’s ex-mother-in-law.
SERNIC has identified three people in total: Nini Satar’s ex-mother-in-law; her son, who lives in Portugal; and the family’s driver, who was allegedly responsible for moving the money involved. The latter is also already in police custody.
Both detainees deny the charges.
According to SERNIC, two kidnapping victims were returned to their families yesterday, thanks to operations that have not yet been properly clarified. They are victims of the kidnappings that took place on April 24, on Av. Joaquim Chissano, and the most recent case, on August 5, in front of the Terminus hotel.
Both these kidnappings were allegedly orchestrated by Nini Satar’s ex-mother-in-law, her son and the driver.
