The following message has just now been posted on the Presidency’s Facebook page :
(Please, see the original message, in Portuguese, below)
“Compatriots:
“I am this Friday in Cabo Delgado, as part of the Presidential Visits, Edition 2020.
“This morning I visited the Displaced Persons Centre in the Metuge district, located in the neighbourhood of Manono, to take a closer look at the situation in which our fellow citizens find themselves and to, with them, seek ways to get on with life.
“A part of this population has left Quissanga district due to the war waged by people who want to divide us because of our riches.
“We must remain vigilant, and have hope that better days will come. We encourage the young people of the Defence and Security Forces, who work day and night, to continue fighting for the tranquillity of our people.”
