Mozambique: Population finds remains of supposed attack victims in Cabo Delgado

José Pedro Alves da Silva, a 41-year-old Portuguese businessman, was shot dead this Friday in Machava, Municipality of Matola, in Maputo province, southern Mozambique.
The Portuguese businessman, director of Sotubos, was apparently murdered during an attempted kidnapping. Portuguese newspaper Jornal Notícias online reports.
He was traveling in a car with a bodyguard and the vehicle’s driver when he was intercepted by two vehicles, adds Jornal Notícias.
The victim’s vehicle was hit by a burst of machine gun fire, Jornal Notícias has learned.
José Pedro da Silva was the son of Alberto da Silva, former president of Sporting Clube de Braga,, who immigrated to Mozambique in the 1990s, where he founded Sotubos, a company which sells material for the construction sector.
Mozambique is being devoured by a wave of violence that destroys families and shatters the future of this nation.
