The President of the Republic, Filipe Nyusi, today 17 September, appointed, Pedro Comissário Afonso to the post of Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Permanent Representative of the Republic of Mozambique to the United Nations in New York.
The appointment comes just a few days after Pedro Comissário Afonso was removed from his post as Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs and Cooperation.
