Mozambique needs $80B to achieve energy transition by 2050

Cahora Bassa Hydroelectric (HCB) held the second session of its general assembly in Maputo this Wednesday (Marc 17), and resolved to approve the election of Boavida José Lopes Muhambe to the post of Chairman of the Board of Directors.
Mr. Boavida Muhambe graduated in Business Management, and holds a master’s degree in Development and International Cooperation from the Higher Institute of Economy and Management of the Technical University of Lisbon (ISEG).
He has broad relevant experience in teaching and management positions, and was a staff member at HCB until 2019, having held, among others, the position of Director of Provisioning Services.
The newly elected chairman joins on the Board of Directors engineers Moisés Machava, Abraão dos Santos Rafael and João Faria Conceição, plus doctors Rui Manuel Alfredo da Rocha, Nilton Sérgio Rebelo Trindade and Manuel Tomé.
