The Ministry of Economy this Tuesday announced the temporary suspension of the issuance of licenses for economic activities related to the production and sale of alcoholic beverages throughout the country.
The measure aims to curb the proliferation of these establishments, especially in public places and near educational institutions, as a way to prevent early consumption among young people and reduce the harmful effects associated with alcohol.
According to a press release from the Ministry of Economy, the Government intends to approve a new legal framework in the near future to control the production, sale, and consumption of alcoholic beverages. The goal is to safeguard consumer rights and strengthen prevention strategies, particularly protecting young people from the risks of harmful consumption.
