Mozambique: Police concerned about murders of women in Sofala
Mozambique recorded 49 more positive cases of infection with the new Coronavirus in the last 24 hours, bringing the cumulative number of people so far infected with the disease to 1,268,.
The new cases reported today include 47 individuals of Mozambican nationality and two foreign individuals (one of Indian nationality and one of South African nationality). Of these 49 cases, we recorded 24 of local transmission and 23 imported cases.
In terms of the distribution of cases reported today (Julr 14), nine are from Cabo Delgado, four from Nampula, 25 from Maputo province and 11 from Maputo city.
Mozambique currently has a cumulative of 30 individuals hospitalised due to COVID-19. Of these, 7 are under hospital care. They suffer from various chronic pathologies, associated with COVID-19. In the last 24 hours, Inhambane province recorded a clinical discharge of a patient who will continue with home isolation.
In the last 24 hours,four more people recovered from the disease. With these cases, the cumulative number of people diagnosed positive and already free of the disease stands at 373.
Of the total cases registered to date, 1,145 are local transmissions and 123 imported. cases.
