Mozambique: Lawyers accuse Luanda court of vetoing judiciary mission

Mozambique this Wednesday (July 14) reported 20 deaths in patients infected by the new coronavirus, aged etween 22 and 90 years old: eleven (11) male and nine (9) female, all of Mozambican nationality. These deaths were declared between Thursday (July 8) and on Tuesday (July 13).
In the last 24 hours, Mozambique registered a further 1,543 positive cases of Covid-19, bringing the cumulative number of confirmed cases since the outbreak to 93,429.
Maputo City registered 657 new cases, corresponding to 42.6% of the total new cases reported today across the country and a positivity rate of 39.7% It was followed by Maputo Province with 253 cases, equivalent to 16.4% of all new cases and a positivity rate of 41.5%
On a positive note, a further 181 patients recovered from Covid-19 in the last 24 hours, bringing the number of recoveries to 74,392.
In just 24 hours, 96 people were hospitalised due to COVID-19 and another 29 were discharged. There are currently 419 hospitalised patients.
Mozambique currently has 18,000 active cases of COVID-19.
