Mozambique distinguished as Champion in the Fight Against Malaria
Mozambique today reported ten more Covid-19 deaths, of eight men and two women aged between 51 and 92 . Of these, three deaths were declared on the 21st, 23rd and 24th January, six were declared on Monday, and one was declared today. The deaths reported today rise the Covid-19 death toll in the country to 329.
In the last 24 hours, Mozambique recorded a further 1,274 positive cases of COVID-19, out of 2,980 tests performed in the country, bringing the cumulative number of confirmed cases to 34,055 .
Maputo city recorded the largest number of newly diagnosed cases with 481, corresponding to 37.8% of the total new cases reported today across the country. It was followed by the Maputo province with 243 new cases, (19.1%).
In the last 24 hours there were also 332 more people who have fully recovered from COVID-19, so the country currently has 21,343 recoveries.
The country currently has 12,379 active cases of COVID-19.
