Mozambique: Order of Doctors president objects to no subsidy for Mozambican medical interns

So far, there is no confirmed case of COVID-19 in Mozambique. The information was given a few moments ago by the President of the Republic, who addressed the Nation from Ponta Vermelha, in Maputo city.
In his communication, Filipe Nyusi called on Mozambicans to remain calm and vigilant, following all hygiene rules aimed at protecting everyone from this disease.
Nyusi announced that the Government has decided to raise the alert level at at time when the coronavirus has reached various countries from all corners of the world.
Mozambique has suspended all state travel abroad.
All citizens coming from countries with COVID-19 will have to go through a mandatory quarantine.
All cases with severe symptoms must be isolated.
Events involving more than 300 people are banned.
Screening of all persons at all border points.

At this time when the world is facing the COVID-19 pandemic, Nyusi called on Mozambicans to follow doctors recommendations, such as washing hands with water, soap or ash and observe cough etiquette.
The President of the Republic said that Mozambicans should not be agitated by false information. Nyusi wants everyone to wait and trust the official information that will continue to be provided by the Government.
