Just in: Mozambique registers one more Covid-19 death, surpasses 2,000 infections

Mozambique today reported its 15th death of Covid-19. Meanwhile, in the last 24 hours, another 56 people tested positive in the country, bringing the number of cumulative cases to 2,029 , with 1851 cases of local transmission and 178 imported.
Of the newly diagnosed cases, 05 are from Cabo Delgado, 07 Nampula, 01 Zambézia, 03 Tete, 01 Manica, 09 Maputo province and 30 in Maputo city.
The number of people recovered rises to 765 with the registration of 89 more cases of people free of the virus.
Unfortunately, there was a record of one more death in a patient infected with the new coronavirus, in Maputo City, that of a 78-year-old Mozambican .
The patient was at the Intensive Care Unit of a Private Sector Hospital, in Maputo City, on July 29, transferred from another Private Sector Hospital. She had a severe clinical picture, suffering from other diseases.
The result of the Covid-19 test came back yesterday (03.08.2020), the same day that the death was declared.
Mozambique currently has fifteen (15) deaths due to COVID-19 and two (2) deaths due to other causes.
