The Police Command of the Republic of Mozambique (PRM) has just confirmed that four of the top five suspects of the murder of Anastácio Matavel yesterday in the city of Xai-Xai in Gaza are agents of the corporation, affected to special units of the Rapid Intervention Unit (UIR), O País reports.

As a result, the Gaza provincial commanders of UIR and GOE have already been suspended. The PRM commander-general has suspended Alfredo Macuacuá from the position of commander of the UIR subunit in the province of Gaza and Tudelo Guirrugo from the position of commander of the company of Special Operations Group (GOE) – Gaza province.
In addition, a commission of inquiry was set up to present a detailed report within 15 days.
