The TotalEnergies-led Mozambique LNG consortium has ifted the ‘force majeure’ declaration on the liquefied natural gas (LNG) project in Cabo Delgado, northern Mozambique, Ztamar News reports today.
According to the same source, TotalEnergies informed the Mozambican government of its decision yesterday.
Still according to Zitamar News, the “landmark decision comes after TotalEnergies CEO Patrick Pouyanné reached a deal with president Chapo on how much additional cost from the lengthy stoppage the project could claim against future taxes”.
