Mozambique: Boy kidnapped in Maputo - reports

The Defence and Security Forces killed the leader of the self-proclaimed Renamo Military Junta, Mariano Nhongo.
The Commander General of the PRM, Bernardino Rafael, now speaks at a press conference.
“Today, Thursday, 11 October, at 7.30 in the morning, in Mazamba, Chibabava district, Sofala province,” Berardino Rafael announced, “a Defence and Security Forces patrol joined combat with members of the Military Junta led by Mariano Nhongo. In this clash between the Defence and Security Forces and the Military Junta, in operations we’ve consistently been reporting as underway in the central region, the leader of the Military Junta, Mariano Nhongo, was killed, as was also one of his closest followers.”” announced Berardino Rafael, quoted by Verdade.
O País reports that the name of the other member of the Military Junta killed today was Ngau Kama[ or Gulaucama, according to some social media].
Lusa in turn reports that Mariano Nhngo was killed in “a forest in Cheringoma district “and quotes the PRM Commander General as saying: “We have recovered six weapons, one pistol, 95 bullets and an AK47”-

Current information shows that his death followed a raid on Nhongo’s position by the GSF, on 11 October. Details are subject to verification.
