The Energy Regulatory Authority (ARENE) has just announced increases in fuel prices set to kick into effect tomorrow.
The price hike are as follows:
- Gasoline rises by about 8 meticais, that is, from 69.04 to 77.39 meticais per litre;
- Diesel increases by 9.26 meticais, from 61.71 to 70.97 meticais per litre,;
- Lighting oil rises from 47.95 to 50.16 meticais:
- Cooking gas increases from 71.02 to 80.49 meticais per kilogram, and
- Vehicular gas rises from 32.69 to 37.09 meticais.
The current rise in fuel prices is influenced by recent increases in the barrel of oil on the international market, exacerbated by the war between Russia and Ukraine.
