The Mozambican Chamber of Commerce (CCM) has re-elected Julião Dimande, in preference to António Matabel, as president of the organisation for a further three years on Wednesday, with 144 votes in favour, the Mozambican Information Agency reported yesterday.
After the result was announced, Dimande said he would prioritise the professional training of Mozambican entrepreneurs and the restructuring of the CCM in order to harmonise the activities of the institution.
“We are going to capitalise training, for which we have scholarships. We will also look at restructuring the chamber itself,” he said.
The president-elect pointed to the intensification of partnerships between Mozambican companies as another priority.
Julião Dimande was elected for a three-year term for the first time in 2015.
