The meetings of the political dialogue Joint Commission resume today after a 15-day break.
The Maputo meeting will address the second point of the agenda relating to the establishment of the terms and conditions for the cessation of military hostilities in the country.
Before breaking, international mediators proposed the creation of a demilitarized corridor to enable them to meet Renamo leader Afonso Dhlakama, suggesting the government indicate neighbouring countries to monitor its effectiveness.
Among a wide range of issues on the table, the parties will also discuss the separation of political party and state and the demobilisation of Renamo’s remaining armed men.
The government team on the committee has changed in its composition, with Antonio Hama Thai and Edmundo Galiza Matos being replaced by Antonio Boene and Eduardo Chiziane.
