A delegation from Japan visited the Mozal-Beluluane Industrial Park as part of a private-sector mission to Mozambique. Comprising seven members from the Chambers of Commerce of the cities of Azuchi and Ōmi-Hachiman, the delegation’s primary objective was to further strengthen cultural and economic ties between Mozambique and Japan.
The visit was organized by the Azuchi Chamber of Commerce to promote stronger collaboration within the private sector and create new opportunities for trade, investment, and cultural exchange. It provided a platform for MozParks and the delegation to engage in meaningful discussions, with the goal of deepening mutual understanding and exploring new avenues for cooperation.
The visit was hosted by Ashleigh Tsuro, Sales Manager at MozParks, who welcomed and provided an in-depth overview of MozParks’ significant role in driving industrial growth and sustainable development in Mozambique. During the visit, the delegation also visited the Laresh company, where they gained valuable insights into its operations and its contribution to the industrial sector.
The Japanese delegation expressed strong interest in opportunities within the agro-processing sector, recognizing the potential for investment and collaboration. They were particularly impressed by the facilities at Beluluane Industrial Park, which reinforce Mozambique’s capacity to support industrial diversification and sustainable economic growth. This visit marks a promising step toward strengthening Japan-Mozambique relations, opening doors for new business ventures and deeper private-sector cooperation.
