Mozambican short-film 'Vandals' premieres in Maputo with two sold-out sessions

Mozambican reciter and cultural activist Jaime Santos died on Monday at the age of 64, after an illness.
Jaime Santos had been ill for some time, but his condition had recently worsened, necessitating his admission to the Maputo Central Hospital, where he eventually died.
A member of and frequent visitor to the Mozambican Writers’ Association (AEMO), Jaime Santos became known for his talent for declamation, participating in recitation events at the homes of national authors since the 1980s.
The burial is scheduled for Thursday, August 29th at the Lhanguene cemetery in Maputo.
The funeral procession will leave the Central Hospital of Maputo morgue on Thursday, passing by the Núcleo de Arte and the Mercado do Museu, and should arrive at AEMO headquarters at around 8:30 a.m. for the wake ceremony and signing of the book of condolences.
