President of the Continuadores [‘Young Pioneers’] and First Lady of Mozambique Isaura Nyusi has challenged the organisation to devise strategies to alleviate the suffering of minors displaced by terrorist attacks.
Isaura Nyusi launched her appeal on Wednesday (26-05) in Boane, Maputo province, at the opening of the organization’s third ordinary Central Council session.
Speaking in her capacity as president of the Continuadores, Isaura Nyusi said that only the involvement of all strata of society in solidarity actions could assure a better future for minors who are victims of terrorist incursions.
Isaura Nyusi said that the protection of displaced children and, in general, the Covid-19 pandemic plaguing the country and the world, were of paramount importance.
The Continuadores delegate from Cabo Delgado took the opportunity to declare that more than 1,000 children have been displaced to various reception centres by terrorist attacks.
