Mozambique: President calls for swift humanitarian response for IDPs

The Interior Minister, Basilio Monteiro, moved today in Maputo, an important part of the pieces in the police forces, reports O País, adding that the changes were no accident but instead come forward as a way for the Police of the Republic to face the attacks of Renamo in different parts of the country.
In this sense, minister Monteiro swore in Francisco Matiquita to the post of Commander of the Police of Zambezia, while fetching Alberto Vago for the post of Director of Logistics and Finance of the Police General Command.
The changes did not stop there. They extend also to the appointment of Andique Molde for the post of Director-General of Social Services, who will be assisted by Nasson Keni Note.
Therefore, in this context of political and military tension, Monteiro promises to respond with force to attacks by Renamo.
