Mozambique: At least five killed in attack attributed to the Naparama paramilitary group
Insurgents killed three people in the Chimbanga village, a few kilometres from Mocímboa da Praia in Cabo Delgado province, on Wednesday morning, sources have told ‘Carta de Moçambique’. The victims were attacked as they tended their ‘machambas’ (smallholdings).

Near the village of Xitaxi, in the neighbouring district of Muidumbe, Mozambique Defence and Security Forces are said to have killed one civilian and injured another. Sources say the victims were travelling to the district’s main town by motorbike when they were intercepted by the security forces. enahiwle, there are no further details of the incident.
