The National Institute for Disaster Management (INGC) has denied information circulating on social networks, according to which INGC has provided drones to support Frelimo’s electoral campaign in Nampula.
The institution’s spokesman, Paulo Tomas, cited by Radio Moçambique, said he could not establish any relationship between the photos circulating on social networks and the INGC drones.
“So far we have not been able to establish any relationship and [we wish to] say once again that the information which is circulating on social networks is not true,” he said.
INGC spokesman said the institution’s drones were only used to monitor emergency situations and assess response.
