INAM predicts bad weather in southern Mozambique until Saturday

Mozambique’s Metereology Institute INAM has forecast heavy rains with more than 50mm of precipitation falling in 24 hours, and severe thunderstorms with wind gusting up to 60 km/h from today until November 12 in Maputo, Gaza and Inhambane.
There may also be high seas in the Mozambique Channel with waves up to 3.5 meters high south of the 24th parallell.
INAM has therefore recommended that, in light of the risk associated with heavy rains, high winds and waves, alert messages for precautionary and safety measures be issued.
