Weather Alert: Strong winds and rough seas forecasted for southern Mozambique

The National Institute of Meteorology (INAM) is forecasting mild to hot weather this Tuesday, with maximum temperatures ranging from 24 to 31 degrees Celsius and the possibility of rain in the south, centre and north of the country.
In the north, the cities of Nampula, Pemba and Lichinga may experience moderate to heavy rains, accompanied by thunderstorms and weak to strong winds blowing from northwest to northeast.
Temperatures in Nampula, Pemba and Lichinga, may reach highs of 29°C, 31°C and 24°C and lows of 22°C, 25°C and 14°C respectively.
For the cities in the central area of the country, Chimoio, Beira, Tete and Quelimane, the weather forecast also indicates moderate to very heavy rain, accompanied by thunderstorms and weak to strong winds blowing from northwest to southeast.
Chimoio, Beira, Tete and Quelimane can expect maximum temperatures of 29°C, 26°C, 31°C and 31°C and minimums of 26°C, 19°C, 24°C and 25°C respectively.
As for the cities of Maputo, Xai-Xai, Inhambane and Vilankulo, in the south of the country, the forecast points to the possibility of light to moderate rains, accompanied by thunderstorms.
For Maputo, Xai-Xai, Inhambane and Vilankulo, the predicted maximum temperatures are 31°C, 31°C, 31°C and 30°C, and minimums 22°C, 26°C, 26 =°C and 25°C respectively.
