INAM forecasts bad weather for central and southern Mozambique

The National Institute of Meteorology (INAM) forecasts strong winds with gusts up to 60 km/h, showers or moderate rain, followed by thunderstorms from late afternoon in the Mozambican provinces of:
Sofala: Machanga, Chibabava, Buzi, Dondo, Nhamatanda, Gorongosa, Muanza, Cheringoma, Marringue, Caia, Chemba districts and Beira City;
Manica: Machaze, Mossurize, Sussundega, Macate, Gondola, Barue, Macossa, Tambara Guro districts and Chimoio City;
Zambezia: Chinde, Mopeia, Nicoadala, Morrumbala, Namacurra districts of and Quelimane City; and
Inhambane: Morrumbene, Vilankulo, Inhassoro and Govuro districts.
INAM calls on residents in districts likely to be affected to take all basic precautionary measures.
