The National Inspection of Economic Activities (INAE) took stock of its activities since January this year. INAE collected 40 million meticais (around US$672 thousand at current exchange rates] for the state coffers from fines on the detected irregularities.
INAE’s Inspector General, Maria Rita Freitas, said that general inspections were also carried out in the establishments of the Community of Portuguese-speaking Countries, located at national airports and irregularities were detected.
Regarding the upcoming festive season, INAE calls on all consumers to report any irregularities regarding price speculation or sale of out of date products.
