In London: Michel Ussene attends the 8th edition of the African Summit

Under the theme ‘New opportunities for African Investments, Partnerships and Collaborations’, the Mozambican businessman, Michel Ussene, participated in the 8th edition of the African Summit that ended a few days ago in the City of London, United Kingdom.
During the event, Michel Ussene was part of a round table and panel of speakers to discuss the role of the private sector in Africa’s development. In his opinion, African companies need to establish strategic and intelligent partnerships. “This event constitutes a window of opportunity for robust development of the African private sector.”
The two-day event brought together an array of political leaders, private sector, and civil society leaders, as well as stakeholders from Europe, the US and Africa to discuss issues concerning the global promotion of African trade and investment.
The 2023 African Business Leadership Awards (AFLA) were delivered during the summit.
Michel Ussene won the Young Business Leader of the Year.

It should be noted that the Uxene Smart City project – presented in December 2022 – carried an enormous weight in the evaluation and voting process for the award, which was presented by the Minister of Finance of Madagascar, Rindra Hasimbelo Rabarinirinarison.

“This project represents a new urban development in Mozambique. It is a true African renaissance that brings a humanized, sustainable, and integrated urban concept, a place of excellence to live, work, learn and invest”, underlined Michel Ussene.
The event is an initiative of the African Leadership Organization, which seeks to highlight African achievements and excellence, to face Africa’s unique challenges.
