Mozambique: At least five protest initiatives in last 24 hours - police

According to electronic news portal Carta de Moçambique, the Mozambican ambassador to Angola, Helena Taipo, will be tried for corruption over the diversion of more than US$1.5 million.
Carta de Moçambique says that the case will soon be referred to court for the setting of a trial date.
Taipo is the main suspect in the misappropriation of 100 million meticais (about US$1.5 million) from the National Social Security Institute (INSS) while she was Minister of Labour of Mozambique.
Five others besides Taipo stand accused in the case.
