Helena Muando, deputy, dies

Assembly of the Republic of Mozambique deputy Helena da Glória Muando died in Maputo on Thursday.
Representing the central Mozambican province of Manica, Muando was fulfilling her second term on the Frelimo parliamentary bench.
In the last legislature, Muando was a member of the Committee on Social Affairs, Gender, Technology and Social Communication, and at the time of her death was serving as deputy rapporteur on the Human Rights Committee on International Relations, Cooperation and Communities.
The funeral of Helena Muando, MP, takes place today in the Lhanguene cemetery in Maputo.
