The Mozambican government plans invest more than 30 billion meticais [US$430.2 million] in the socio-economic development of Cabo Delgado in its current five-year mandate.
Eighty percent of this amount will be used for road reconstruction and rehabilitation.
The information was provided this Saturday by the minister of Public Works, Housing and Water Resources, João Machatine, at the opening of two water supply systems in the town of Balama and at the administrative post of Machoca, district of Namuno.
Minister Machatine invited all stakeholders to join the government’s efforts to improve living conditions.
