Government will introduce changes to the Real Property Code

The Government will soon submit to parliament a proposal to update the Civil Code as regards what is known as the Real Property Code [Código Predial].
At their 30th ordinary session on Tuesday, the Council of Ministers approved the legislative authorisation draft law through which it will ask parliament for the necessary competence for the review.
Cabinet spokesman Filimão Suaze said the review would focus on four articles concerning real estate contracts, giving more flexibility to related processes such as sales.
