Mozambique: New diplomatic missions may promote country’s image

The Mozambican Government today announced the dismissal of three chairpersons of public institutions, namely the Airports of Mozambique, the National Communications Institute of Mozambique (INCM) and the National Institute of Road Transport (INATRO).
At the National Communications Institute of Mozambique (INCM), Tuaha Mote, chairman since September 2021, will be replaced by Helena Tomás, said the spokesperson for the Council of Ministers, Filimão Suaze, in statements to the press this Tuesday, after the Cabinet’s weekly meeting in Maputo.
For the position of chairman of the National Institute of Road Transport (INATRO), the Mozambican Government chose Nelson Mário to replace Chinguane Mabote, who had held the role since September 2021.
In the case of Mozambique Airports, Américo Muchanga, chairman of the public company since February 2022, was also dismissed, but the name of who will replace him has not yet been announced.
The Government did not indicate the reasons for the dismissals.
