The Minister of Labour, Employment and Social Security, Vitória Diogo, has granted Mozambicans who profess the Christian faith the day off on Good Friday, 30 March.
According to a press release distributed to the media, the holiday will allow Christian workers and civil servants to participate in activities related to the event with their families and religious congregations.
The document warns that the day off does not extend to workers whose occupations do not allow interruption in the public interest.
