Mozambique: Attorney General wants corruption cases investigated without any influence

The Council of Ministers, meeting this Tuesday in its second Ordinary Session, considered and approved a governance plan for the first 100 days of the executive’s mandate.
The plan is a transitional instrument that aims to guide and focus governance on interventions that have the greatest impact on the lives of the population, Council of Ministers meeting spokesperson Helena Kida said.
Helena Kida also announced that the issuing of visas for travel to and from China was suspended as a preventive measure following the recent coronavirus outbreak.
Also on Tuesday, the cabinet considered and approved resolutions terminating the duties of Omar Mithá as Chairman of the Board of Directors of the National Hydrocarbon Company (ENH), and of Casimiro dos Santos Abreu as deputy general director of the National Institute for Disaster Management (INGC).
The cabinet also considered and approved resolutions appointing Estevão Tomás Rafael Pale as Chairman of the Board of Directors of ENH, and Luísa Meque as Director-General of the INGC.
