The Government has appointed Omar Mithá to lead the Investment Advisory Board of the Sovereign Wealth Fund of Mozambique. The appointment comes through a resolution approved this Thursday (12) in Maputo, during the 27th ordinary session of the Council of Ministers (Cabinet).
Omar Mithá will lead the Investment Advisory Board – a board of seven experts appointed by the government.
The other six members of the Investment Advisory Board of the Sovereign Wealth Fund of Mozambique will be Enilde Sarmento, Hercílio Simão, Egildo Mussuanganhe, Ibraimo Hassane Mussagy, Irene Luzidia Maurício and Mukhtar Abdul Carimo.
This Investment Advisory Board (IAB) will be joining the Sovereign Fund Supervisory Committee, whose nine members were elected in July by the Assembly of the Republic and took office in August.

The Investment Advisory Board (IAB) of the Sovereign Wealth Fund (SWF)) must be consulted prior to making any decision on investment policy. The advice of the IAB must be public, according to the Sovereign Fund Law.
