BCI sponsors 'Best Female Voice' award at Ngoma Mozambique
File photo / Legendary Mozambican band Ghorwane will share the stage with Banda Kakana at the opening of a five-week series of concerts in Matola's FunFest.
The bands Ghorwane and Banda Kakana will perform in Poets’ Park in Matola on June 23.
The concert is part of the programme celebrating sport and culture throughout June and July, with Matola and Revolution Media creating a Fun Fest to bring the World Cup to Matola residents through to July 15th.
Four major concerts are scheduled, with the games shown on a giant screen and food available. Laser areas, hobbies, betting and other scheduled activities are available.
Ghorwane, Kakana Band, Lay Lizzy, Blaze, New Joint, Kamané, Mabermuda, and South African band Micasa will all perform in the five-week period.
Several DJ’s will liven up the party, with DJ Cabeção from Brazil and dj Lelo, Tay, Superman already lined up.
The Funfest events aim to create an entertaining space for football lovers; gather football lovers to watch the games; promote cultural activity in Mozambique, innovate news way of promoting events; provide a quality event which, apart from entertainment, is the starting point for partnerships and business; and add value to local tourism.
