O País
Prices of fuels and other petroleum products will be readjusted again from tomorrow, according to ‘O País’, citing a statement from the Ministry of Mineral Resources and Energy of Mozambique.
With the adjustment, the price of gasoline goes from the current 53.57 meticals to 57.89. Diesel falls from 51.79 to 50.48 meticais per litre.
On the other hand, domestic gas (LPG) prices drop from the current 70.32 / kg to 40.57 / kg, while compressed gas (NGV) rises from 26.34 to 27.09 meticais per litre / equivalent. Lamp oil goes from the current 37.88 to 39.65 meticais per litre.
The change in the price of fuels and other petroleum products, the statement said, arises from the application of the legislation, namely article 67 of Decree 45/2012, of 28 December, which establishes the need to revise retail prices on a monthly basis, whenever there is a change in the base price of more than three percent or in case of a change in taxes.
It should be noted that the latest readjustment of the price of fuels and other petroleum products was on 17 May, after the government announced last March that it would update prices on the basis of the above mentioned decree, ending the general subsidy on fuel prices.
